so, I'm sat in the cinema watchin chronicles of narnia with my daughter and its wack so I thought I'd update my blog.
Just got back from mcs for life which is like seminars, performances and workshops all around mcing. The sat was in brum and sun in manchester. I was up there both days makin a beat live and then cats come and spit on the trk and we record it there and then. The evnt was good over all but manny had the best vibe. They love that mc stuff in manny. Its like everywhere else artists be makin music in the studio and build there rep like that but in manny u gotta be a ble to jump on an open mic and earn ur stripes to build your rep.
The performances where good lord finesse took me back, a pleasure to watch but million dan smacked it up BIG!!!! And stig of the dump did his thing so rukus was sayin (ruks was hostin the brum event) black thought from the roots was there and walked from the bar to the stage (lean) performed one track and walked back to the bar... weak. I'm tied of these yanky mcs comin over and takin the piss like they aint gotta make an effort, he was the headline act and peeps had paid they're money to see him. Big up milly and stig holdin down the UK.

So I got my new mixtape coming out in July. Its basically all the beats I released on different projects (ftp2, precha, antourage etc) since my last mixtape with different mcs each spitting one 16, theres like over 60 mcs on there, I put it together with my boy matt from datsound, he did the shameless album and the excalibah mixtapes. Highlights for me is loudmouth on the Valerie beat, alex bloods verse and maliks verse. I like doin these mixtapes cause it gives me chance to work with cats that I might not get to work with on my album, look out for some of the newer mcs like chimpo sc and swift 89.ima post a little snippet advert mp3 thing up for u to listen to, just not right now, cause im in bed watchin babel, (it’s a thurs night in derby, what else am I meant to do?) the ‘lies’ video and track get promo’d next week so ill post the video up too. Midlands peeps try and make it down to the graff convention at my studio on Sunday, gonna be a big look, got temper doing a q&a and dilk and friends spraying up the outside of my building (which I still haven’t told my landlord im doing…). Alex blood sniffs cillit bang

Blog time. Strange title I know, but we got these video diary things that
alex is doing and is f*ing great. Soon come, Ill post some links asap. Just
finishing off the 'lies' video aswell posted a pic above. Its the first
single of babyfood, featuring nathan and asher d. Its basically us drivin
round london in a car (hopefully its better than I jus made it sound) we had
this big camera mount thing on the bonnet and lights in the car shining in
my face and I'm diving round the west end in london, to cut a long story
short I couldn't see a thing and I was certain we was gonna pulled up by the
pigs, which wasn't helped by the fact that asher had the music up full blast
and the windows down and kept shoutin out the window at people.
Londoners...so when u see the vid and I'm squinting all the way thru u know
why. Big shout to all my midlands peeps that made oit down to iluvlive and
the q&a session with cookie and tor. Its that babyboy signin out.

happy birth day to me

So today is my birthday. Im a big old 35 years old which makes me old enough to be chipmunks dad, wow. Ive always felt ready to be the age I am as I feel ive done a lot with my years, kinda had a chilled one today but bac on the grind hard tomorrow as ive got to get the first draft of my album into the label for them to listen to, its almost ready just got to get a hook in from aynzli jones (big singer on mercury) and get wre-asha to lay her vocals this week. Right now im loving the farma g track, it’s the first time weve actually worked on a track together and farma says one his favourite trks hes done in his career which was a big compliment. Ill try post some album snippets up on my blog soon for people to hear. Went to see PE with alex blood the other night at rock city, very humbling experience, got a bit star struck… babyfood coming real soon, as long as I get up early enough to get mixing it tomorrow am!   1up
